Goal |
Training of specialists possessing advanced theoretical and practical knowledge in modern areas of biological sciences and biology teaching methodology, as well as skills in organizational and managerial activities. Graduates are awarded the academic degree of Master of Pedagogical Sciences in the Educational Program 7M01512 “Biology”. Masters of Pedagogical Sciences may hold positions in accordance with the Standard Qualification Characteristics of Pedagogical Workers and Equivalent Persons (as amended and supplemented as of July 22, 2022). |

Learning Outcomes (LOs) LO1. Systematizes scientific theories and concepts of the latest trends in social-humanitarian, economic, and pedagogical disciplines for application in scientific and professional activities. LO2. Applies various means of academic oral and written communication in foreign and state languages to obtain information in professional activities and interpersonal communication. LO3. Implements a scientific approach to the management of production and innovative activities, solving scientific-experimental and production-technological tasks. LO4. Applies modern methods for scientific research in field and laboratory conditions using modern equipment and applied computer-information programs. LO5. Explains the laws of natural science disciplines affecting the evolution of the organic world and priority directions in modern biology. LO6. Analyzes phylogenetic relationships and evolutionary pathways of plants and animals to solve professional and scientific tasks. LO7. Applies a scientific approach to justify measures for the conservation of biological diversity and determine permissible levels of extraction of biological resources. LO8. Characterizes the structure, molecular organization, functional mechanisms of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells, and methodological approaches used in genetics. LO9. Applies in professional activities new educational technologies, including distance learning, as well as international and national documents on the rights of learners with special educational needs, criterion-based assessment methods, and results of research in biological and pedagogical education. LO10. Conducts scientific research with subsequent summarization of theoretical and/or experimental results in the form of a master’s project, scientific article, analytical report, etc., to solve applied problems in biology, observing principles of professional ethics and academic integrity. |
