On November 28, 2024, the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography is conducted an educational event titled “The Periodic Table: From the Past to the Future,” organized as part of the pedagogical practice of 2nd-year master’s students of the educational program 7M01507 «Chemistry». The primary goal of the event was to celebrate the 155th anniversary of D.I. Mendeleev’s Periodic Table, enhance students’ understanding of its significance in science, and promote its unique role.
Students from educational programs 6B01508 «Chemistry-Biology» and 6B05301 «Chemistry», representing groups Chem-21, Chem-23, ChB-31, Chem-41 and Chem-42, actively participated in the event. The program included entertaining and educational games such as “Assemble the Table,” “Quiz Blitz,” “Dancing Molecules” and “Who’s Faster?” Between the games, talented students from the faculty showcased their artistic abilities, adding a lively and vibrant touch to the event.
The 2nd-year master’s students Nurbek Khamidulla and Meruert Khapiyeva conducted the event at a high level, earning enthusiastic applause from the audience. At the end of each game, active participants were awarded periodic tables and sweet treats. Additionally, the “Lucky Ticket” prize went to ChB-31 group student Aruzhan Khaumetova, who received a gift certificate for the “Kitap All” bookstore.
This event provided an opportunity to revisit and highlight the history and significance of D.I. Mendeleev’s Periodic Table from a fresh perspective.
