On May 19, 2025, a competition of the best social projects aimed at increasing the volume of sorted waste to eco-points, organized by Oral Taza Service LLP, was held at the Zhangir Khan West Kazakhstan Agrarian and Technical University.
This competition is organized in order to support initiatives aimed at protecting the environment, improving the environmental literacy of young people and forming an active civic position among them, as well as finding practical and creative solutions in the field of waste management. The competition was attended by 13 teams of schools and universities of the city of Uralsk, who shared their ideas aimed at solving environmental problems.
During the competition, the participants got acquainted with new solutions, presenting their ideas on waste sorting, stimulating recycling, conducting awareness-raising and the formation of an ecological culture. The projects were evaluated according to several criteria: originality of the idea, feasibility, clarity of presentation and potential effectiveness.
Among the participants of the competition was the Ecojayk environmental club, which presented its own project aimed at popularizing separate garbage collection and creating a culture of conscious consumption among city residents. The club's initiative included educational campaigns, the organization of volunteer actions and the creation of information materials that promote understanding of the importance of waste sorting and reducing their quantity. Participation in the competition has become an important stage in the activities of the ecological club, which continues to actively work on issues of environmental conservation and improving environmental literacy of the population.
