Teachers of the Department of chemistry carried out research work on the following topics:
- Investigation of electrochemical reactions in the d-elements (titanium, molybdenum, tungsten), development on their basis of indicator electrodes and their use in ecological and analytical control (supervisor Ph. D., Professor Mendalieva D. SC., Professor )
- Pedagogy of higher and secondary schools (supervisor, doctor of Economics, Professor Mendalieva D. K.) )
- Development of chemical and technological bases of the optimal variants of processing and further utilization of oil sludge on the oil fields of Western Kazakhstan region (scientific supervisor D. SC., Professor Mendalieva D. H. B.) )
4.The natural resources of the North Caspian region (supervisor Ph. D., associate Professor Cherevatova N. To.)
- Synthesis of inorganic phosphorus compounds (supervisor Ph. D., associate Professor niyazbekova A. B.). The scientific potential of the Department conducts fundamental and applied research.
In accordance with the goals and objectives of the study, it is necessary to form indicator electrodes equipped with new metals and their modifications, first of all, to determine their electroanalytical characteristics (electrode function, operating interval, signal delivery time, etc.). to do this, the electrodes were studied in solutions of various electrolytes and complex formations. His results were used to explain electrochemical processes between metals and solutions. New types of electrodes have been developed for the potentiometric analysis of cations and anions in model solutions and for determining the types of solions in specific natural objects. Scientific articles have been published based on the results of the study. Scientific works in the following areas were directed to research by teachers (Kostarevskaya S. S., Cherevatova N. K., Niyazbekova A. D) amino acids, ecological balance of the elementary composition of soils and plants of natural objects and systems, synthetic processes of inorganic phosphorus compounds (complexing), analysis of food products of the West Kazakhstan region, amino acid composition of blood serum of horses of the kushum breed. Research work in the field of pedagogy of higher and secondary schools head. the Department of Professor D. K. under the guidance of Mendalieva teachers of the Department Orlova R. I., Yeseeva G. B., Amangosova M. G., Sultanova M. V. are conducted on various topics. The main task is to improve the scientific Outlook of students in chemistry, the introduction of innovative technologies for environmental education. The lesson uses electronic textbooks from publishing houses of the Republic of Kazakhstan and textbooks published on the basis of their own experience. (Kostalevskaya S. S. S., Cherevatova N. K., Orlova R. I., Niyazbekova A. B.).
In order to study current problems of chemical science and methods of teaching chemistry in universities and secondary schools, the Department operates a scientific and methodological seminar. Teachers of the above-mentioned Department during classes at the regional Institute for advanced training and retraining of teachers worked with teachers of schools in the city and region to attract students to the specialty of the wksu, to implement research projects under the guidance of University teachers.
Teachers of the Department are working to improve their skills. Teachers of the Department regularly report the results of scientific work at regional, national and international conferences. We exchanged the experience of Russian and Kazakh specialists.
In the areas of research, the Department conducts problem-based experimental and scientific-methodological seminars.
